Bio
Sid has more than 5 years of experience in scientific research using mathematical and computational algorithms. He has a broad background in industrial engineering and management. He started off his engineering journey in 2008 by supervising lower-tension domestic electrical construction work and managing a fabrication unit for high-tension overhead electrical construction. He wrote his Bachelors and Masters in Mechanical Engineering, in India from the prestigious Indian Institute of Technology Madras, with an honours in thermal sciences and a minor in field robotics. He started his research career with Prof. Balaji Srinivasan in 2018 working on numerical approximation for convection dominant flows.

He is currently continuing his PhD at The University of British Columbia in the Department of Earth, Ocean and Atmospheric Sciences, and the Institute of Applied Mathematics. His research focuses on scientific machine learning, numerical methods, inverse methods, and computational mechanics.
